Help us Build a Well for a Village in Ghana
On July 31 and August 1, CFIS president and founder Kirk Lyman-Barner rode the beautiful Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. The ride was in honor of Kirk’s father, Tom Barner, who passed away on August 17,2023. The Barner family has long been passionate about the impactful work The Fuller Center is doing in Ghana. Kirk’s sister, Kristen Barner, previously spent three years in Ghana building homes with Habitat for Humanity and teaching expatriates.
We’re thrilled to share that the well in Obretema, Ghana — funded through this tribute ride and the generous support of many — has been successfully completed! This new well is now providing clean water to an entire community.
The Barner family matched all donations received by Father’s Day 1:1, up to $3,000, helping us meet our goal of $6,000 for the project.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this life-changing gift possible!
